In this tutorial, I’m excited to share my Magic Number System with you—a simple way to turn fabric scraps into beautiful scrappy quilts. I’ll walk you through how to make a 12½" block with ease, showing you how to mix and match fabrics from your stash to create fun, stress-free designs. Whether you like your quilts to be totally random or prefer a more organized look, I’ve got tips for every style. I’ll show you different layout options, how to add sashing, and even how to create secondary patterns from just one block. The best part? There’s no right or wrong way to do it—quilting should be fun, not stressful! Watch the full video to see all the possibilities, and make sure to check out my other tutorials for more scrap-busting inspiration. Let’s dive into the world of scrappy quilting together!

In this tutorial, I’ll guide you through a fun and simple "Banister Block" quilt project using pre-cut shapes from the Magic Number tray and wonky strips. I’ll take you step-by-step, from cutting 6.5-inch squares to adding scrap strips to build the block. I encourage you to get creative with colour choices and explore different block arrangements to create a visually striking quilt—examples are shown at the end of the video. This tutorial, along with a full PDF pattern available on my website, is perfect for quilters who want to make the most of their fabric scraps in a quick and impactful way.

Double-Sided Quilt: A Sneak Peek

In my latest video, I’m excited to share a special project—a double-sided quilt featuring blocks from some of my favorite Magic Numbers patterns and a personal touch for a special baby.

On Side A, I combined patterns #18 "Fun with Fans 2.0" and #19 "Square Evolution," framed with some rail fence blocks. Side B features blocks from my book Magic Numbers Quilting, along with alphabet letters from the ElementoQuilt pattern by Monika of Penny Spool Quilts.

Curious about how it all came together? Watch the full video to see the process, get quilting tips, and learn more about the patterns I used!
