This block idea was on agenda for a very long time. I wanted to make it quick and easy. But sometimes what you need is to slow down… When I used machine to make it from start to finish, what I was getting was so far away from my vision, that I put down this idea back to WIP box for months before trying again. Finally, it came to me: slow and steady wins the design! And here are my splats, exactly as I imagined them. You can use crumbs as I did, but you can also showcase some rare fabrics in your collection. There are many layouts to put these blocks into as well. Check my latest YouTube tutorial and see what you can make from splats! Happy sewing.

This post title immediately brought back a memory of my grandmother's quilting room. She had this incredible stash of fabric scraps, a veritable rainbow of colors and patterns, and she'd often talk about her "crumb blocks." I never quite understood what she meant until I saw a finished quilt made entirely of them. It was surprisingly cohesive and beautiful, a testament to her skill in making something so lovely out of what others might consider leftovers. Your "Splat https://payid.com.au/payid-for-business Quilt block with trapunto" sounds like such a clever way to elevate those little bits and pieces. I love the idea of adding dimension with trapunto to those small, irregular shapes. It really makes me want to pull out my own…
