If you need a quick gift this Christmas and you have some orphan blocks laying around, you can make this scrappy patchwork scarf in no time. You can use up an old fleece blanket or buy a piece in your local store. I used in this project blocks made from shirt fabrics and simple layout but imagine using star blocks or flying geese… You can quilt it as easy or as intricate as you like depending on your skills or time you have to finish. This is very versatile and great project for both beginner and advanced person alike. Happy sewing!

I am getting addicted to improv. Absolutely love it now, since I have made few different patterns and managed to work out the easiest way to make them without pinning anything. It can be easy and fun, especially when you get to make it from colourful, cheery fabrics with children’s motives, AND you get to donate it! All goodies in one package. Happy sewing!

If you need a quick quilt, you need big blocks. But it doesn’t mean it has to be boring or that you will need to worry about if seams will line up. Improv is an answer. Easy, quick, fun Christmas project for a quilt to be donated to Linus group. Great for any size fabrics as you can mix and match size of the blocks using magic number method. Still need to decide on final layout but already thinking of making another one using some other themed fabrics. Happy sewing!
