Succulents are my favourite plants. They need so little attention that they can survive between my sewing spells. I designed this pattern to use up all sorts of scraps and crumbs. Succulents come in all colours, so are my blocks. That means whatever your scrap box has inside, you can use it up in this fun project. All fabrics came from pre cuts made from scraps based on the magic number rules hence this is very easy and quick block to make. And its large. Large block = fast quilt. Happy sewing!

Pattern is available for those who likes written instructions, full of pictures and diagrams. Check my store page.

We had a row of aloe and agave that seemed to grow in perfect, almost mathematical clusters, and every time we tried to rearrange them the plants would stubbornly revert to the same spacing. It was as if they were following an invisible grid, a natural version of the patterns you describe https://polis.cass.anu.edu.au/centres/cgr I remember watching the sun set over those thick, fleshy leaves, feeling both humbled and fascinated by how something so simple could be so precisely ordered. Your breakdown of the numeric sequences made me realize that those moments weren’t just…

What a thoughtful piece of writing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_design I've bookmarked this page because I think it covers the subject really well. It is worth going through useful resource before settling on anything. Looking forward to reading more from this blog.
